Starts in the Hanseatic city of Doesburg
Park your car in the free car park on the edge of Doesburg and cycle to Kerkstraat. There you will find the first cycling junction sign. These signs are your guide on the route from Doesburg to Zutphen, along the IJssel. Before you leave, first visit Museum Lalique in Doesburg with beautiful glass art by René Lalique. But don't forget the Doesburgschee Mustard Museum and the mustard factory. Traditional mustard has been made there for hundreds of years. If you come on the first Sunday of the month, all galleries in Doesburg have an open house with fun music and special tours.
Many sights along the way
The 51 kilometer cycle route goes back and forth over the IJssel. Along the way you cycle past a beautiful mill, through the smallest town in the Netherlands (Bronkhorst) and through a beautiful garden laid out in the English landscape style. Immediately after Zutphen you will pass a city farm with special paintings. At the traffic light next to the bridge you have a beautiful view of Zutphen Torenstad. The route then goes through Brummen towards Dieren where you will find an organic vineyard at the end of the tour.

In Zutphen you will find a medieval street pattern from the Hanseatic period, many courtyards and countless specialty shops. Naturally, there are plenty of terraces for a snack and a drink. Zutphen amassed its wealth during the Hanseatic period - and you can still clearly see that! Take a Hanseatic walk and enjoy the history.
